Our Story

Our first project was launched in 2012 through a collaboration with General Electric, Hilton, and Hertz to demonstrate a scalable, national EV charging model. The stations were installed in 2013 and are still owned and operated by Skycharger.

Today, over a decade later, Skycharger is one of the largest non–original equipment manufacturer (non-OEM) developers of fast-charging infrastructure on the West Coast. We currently own and operate a rapidly growing portfolio of over 700 EV charging stations across six states, including the West Coast Electric Highway DCFC network in California. We’re on track to exceed 1,000 stations nationwide by 2027.

In 2024 alone, Skycharger invested over $10 million in capital development for new electric vehicle infrastructure projects, completing seven major projects in California, and adding more than 170 charging ports across the U.S.

Skycharger brings a proven track record of commercial traction, deep development experience, and proprietary operational insights to every project backed by data gathered from our network, which has had over 500,000 charging sessions.

Our parent company, Skyview Ventures, has developed, owns, and operates over 150 solar and solar and battery storage projects, giving Skycharger a fully integrated approach to create the optimal charging solution.  Our Trucking-as-a Service offering allows us to provide electric vehicles as well.  All up, we are a true turnkey partner for fleets, municipalities, and private operators looking to electrify.

We’ve led the future of EV infrastructure since 2013

Skycharger is a pioneer in electric vehicle infrastructure. We built our first electric vehicle charging stations in 2013, making us one of the longest-standing independent owners of EV infrastructure companies in the U.S.
