Project Overview
This Tidelands Avenue Electric Truck Hub (EHub) project will be a major step towards the Port meeting its 2030 goal of 100% zero-emission trucking to improve air quality and healthier portside communities. The EHub will support the replacement of dirty diesel trucks with clean electric trucks by deploying 70 fast charging stations, along with a solar array and battery storage. The EHub will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve air quality, reduce noise pollution, and increase opportunities in National City and other neighboring communities.

“The Port of San Diego is working to improve air quality and public health for everyone who lives, works, and plays on and around San Diego Bay. As a practicing cardiologist for nearly 20 years in National City, this is a cause I feel very strongly about. The proposed Skycharger Electric Truck Hub project would help reduce the number of diesel trucks going through National City and adjacent communities, resulting in less diesel pollution and a cleaner and healthier environment.”
